Public Skate

Public Skate Sessions are times when anyone of any age or ability can skate. Your saftey is our #1 priority, so we recommend that all beginning skaters wear helmets (some bike helmets are available).

About Us

Siskiyou Ice Rink: The Siskiyou Ice rink is located in Shastice Park, in the City of Mt. Shasta, at the foot of beautiful, majestic, snow covered Mt. Shasta. If you're lucky you may even catch the mountain under a full moon. The rink is 85 feet wide and 185 feet long-the same size as National Hockey League rinks. Rental Skates are available in all sizes and our Zamboni is first rate! A snack bar sells hot and cold snacks during public skate sessions. There might be times that we are unable to operate the rink due to weather conditions. You can keep posted on daily ice updates by calling our "IceLine" at 530-926-1702. On days when such conditions warrant, it may take a short while to re-groom the ice. In this event, our excellent staff will have the rink up and running as quickly as possible. There are no changing rooms, so please dress warmly. Restrooms are close by, as well as a FUN sledding hill! The Siskiyou Ice Rink is a drug-free, smoke-free and pet-free facility. Children ages 7 and under require parental supervision. We look forward to seeing you on the ice!
